Fujitsu makes the Open COVID Pledge and frees its IP to end the pandemic

The Open COVID Coalition is pleased to announce that Fujitsu Limited has made the Open COVID Pledge, freeing its intellectual property to end the COVID-19 pandemic. Fujitsu, one of the world’s leading technology companies, holds approximately 40,000 issued and pending patents, utility models, and design patents related to the development of new drugs and patient care. Fujitsu has also endorsed and declared its involvement with the Open COVID-19 Declaration, a similar initiative in Japan.

We’re working every day with companies, universities, and research institutions around the world to make their intellectual property openly available to the public so that it can be freely and legally used in the battle against COVID-19. If you work with or represent an organization that would like to make the Pledge, please contact us at opencovidpledge@gmail.com.
